Terms of Use

1. Who we are

FESTOOO is an India-based discovery platform that aggregates publicly available information about college fests, hackathons, workshops, sports tournaments and other campus events. The Service is operated for the benefit of students and event organizers across India.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use the Service. If you are under 18, you should only use the Service with a parent or guardian's involvement. By creating an account you confirm that the information you provide is true and that you are legally permitted to use the Service in your jurisdiction.

3. Accounts

• You are responsible for keeping your login credentials confidential and for everything that happens under your account.
• One person, one account. Don't impersonate anyone or misrepresent your affiliation with a college or organization.
• We may suspend or terminate any account that violates these Terms or that we reasonably believe is being used to harm other users.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Post or promote anything unlawful, hateful, sexually explicit, harassing, fraudulent, or that infringes someone else's rights.
• Scrape, copy or redistribute the Service or its data except as permitted by these Terms.
• Interfere with the Service, attempt to bypass security, or probe for vulnerabilities without prior written consent.
• Use the Service to send spam, phishing links, malware, or unsolicited commercial messages.
• Sell, rent or otherwise commercialise access to your account.

5. Organizers and event listings

If you list an event on FESTOOO (whether directly or through our verification flow), you confirm that:

• You are authorised to publish the event on behalf of the hosting college, club or organization.
• The information you provide is accurate, lawful and not misleading.
• You will keep the listing up to date and remove it promptly if the event is cancelled or postponed.
• You grant FESTOOO a worldwide, royalty-free licence to display, promote and distribute the listing across our website, mobile experience, social channels and email communications for the purpose of running the Service.

We may edit, decline or remove any listing — including verified ones — that breaches these Terms or our community guidelines.

6. Registration and tickets

Registrations, fees, refunds, prize money, attendance rules and any contract you enter into for an event are strictly between you and the event organizer. FESTOOO is not a party to that contract and is not responsible for the organizer's performance.

If you register through FESTOOO's in-app form, the details you provide (name, email, phone, team info, custom-field answers, payment status) are forwarded to the organizer of that event so they can run it. See the Privacy Policy.

7. Intellectual property

The Service, including its design, code, look-and-feel, logo and original written content, is owned by FESTOOO and protected by Indian and international copyright law. College names, fest names, logos and trademarks belong to their respective owners; their appearance on FESTOOO does not imply endorsement.

8. User content

When you submit feedback, photos, reviews or other content, you keep ownership of it but grant FESTOOO a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, display, adapt and share it as part of operating and promoting the Service.

Photos you upload as part of a fest experience are stored privately and only appear publicly after an admin approves the experience.

8a. Data we collect

FESTOOO stores the minimum data needed to run the Service — your Google account basics, the profile you fill in (full name, college, city, state), organizer-application details (if you apply), in-app event registrations, saved events, push-notification keys (if enabled), feedback, and fest experiences with optional photos. We never store payment details and we don't run third-party ad trackers. Full breakdown in the Privacy Policy.

9. Third-party links and services

The Service contains links to third-party websites, registration pages and social accounts. We don't control those destinations and aren't responsible for their content, accuracy or privacy practices.

10. Termination

You can stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access (with or without notice) if you breach these Terms, misuse the Service, or if we are required to do so by law.

11. Disclaimer and limitation of liability

The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, FESTOOO is not liable for any indirect, incidental or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service or from any event you discover through it. See our Disclaimer for more.

12. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be highlighted on this page with a new "Last updated" date. Continued use of the Service after an update means you accept the revised Terms.

13. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Any dispute arising out of or in connection with the Service shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts in India.
