Every serious engineering campus in India has one — a 3-to-5 day tech fest where the semester basically stops and everyone builds, competes and pitches. Here's the 2026 calendar worth blocking on your Google Calendar.

The tier-1 quartet
Techfest (IIT Bombay), Shaastra (IIT Madras), Tryst (IIT Delhi) and Kshitij (IIT Kharagpur) are the four fests every serious engineering student aims to attend at least once. They pull international teams, Fortune 500 sponsors and academic superstars.
The NIT & private-college rising stars
Pragyan (NIT Trichy), Exodia (NIT Warangal), gravitas (VIT), Nvision (IIIT-H) and Cognizance (IIT Roorkee) now regularly match — and sometimes beat — the IITs on individual tracks like AI, robotics and design.
When to register
