The Founder's Fallout

The Founder's Fallout is an immersive business strategy and turnaround challenge where teams act as an investment firm tasked with recovering a company ruined by founder fraud. The event simulates a real-world scenario where founders are gone, leaving a damaged company with distrusted investors and dwindling cash. Teams must analyze incomplete information, negotiate, and trade intelligence with competitors to rebuild the company's value and reach a target valuation. The competition consists of three rounds.

Round 1: Decode the Dossier is an online objective test of analytical skills. Round 2: The Intelligence Market is an on-campus trading floor where teams exchange information cards to build a complete picture. The Final Round: The Turnaround is an on-campus presentation where the top teams defend their turnaround strategy to an Investment Committee. Judging criteria include Problem Diagnosis, Financial Logic, Strategic Recommendation, Intelligence Integration, Risk Identification, and Defence Under Questioning. Round 1 is qualifying, and scores do not carry forward. All on-campus rounds require team members to be physically present. Mobile phones and electronic devices are restricted during on-campus rounds.
