TechTrack 3.0

TechTrack Case Battle 3.0 is a real-world technical challenge focused on Electric Vehicle (EV) Range Prediction. Participants will use a provided EV specification dataset to develop a regression-based machine learning solution for predicting vehicle range. The challenge evaluates the complete machine learning workflow, including data cleaning, exploratory data analysis, feature engineering, model development, evaluation, reproducibility, documentation, and an interactive demonstration. The dataset contains static EV specifications and does not include trip-level data such as traffic, weather, HVAC usage, State of Charge, or State of Health. The problem therefore focuses on specification-based EV range prediction.

Competition Structure: Round 1: Teams will analyse the dataset, build their regression solution, and submit technical documentation and a working demonstration by 4 September 2026. Round 2: Shortlisted teams will present and demonstrate their solutions before the jury at MANIT Bhopal on 9 September 2026. Evaluation will consider data analysis, feature engineering, machine learning approach, prediction performance, innovation, implementation, documentation, reproducibility, and the team’s ability to explain their solution.
