IIT Kanpur
RoboticsThis is a hackathon focused on drone technology, specifically the Multirotor challenge organized by Techkriti at IIT Kanpur. Teams of 2 to 6 members from different colleges can participate. Participants must build their own custom drone, as RTF models are prohibited, though pre-programmed boards are allowed. Only one model can be used throughout the competition. Round 1 involves flying the drone through five rings placed at heights between 1 to 2.5 meters, with points awarded based on difficulty and avoiding contact.
A maximum of 8 minutes is allotted for completion, and the highest scores qualify for Round 2. Round 2 features obstacle navigation, with the specific obstacles revealed on-site. A payload task requires the drone's onboard camera to scan a QR code to identify a payload, which must then be dropped into a designated area. Manual lifting of the drone and failed landing attempts that don't score will result in the round ending immediately. Organizers' decisions are final in case of disputes.
