AUREX'26 - Classical Tamil's First Lingual Tech Hackathon

Aurex '26 is a 24-hour offline hackathon organized by the Classical Tamil Digital Library at the Central Institute of Classical Tamil (CICT). It aims to bring together 60 teams and 180 participants to develop innovative technology solutions across six tracks: Tamil language, digital knowledge, learning, AI, OCR, lexical exploration, and open innovation.

The event will take place at the Central Institute of Classical Tamil in Perumbakkam, Chennai. The total prize pool is ₹60,000, with teams of 3 members eligible to participate. Certificates will be provided by the Central Government for eligible participants.
